What This Means If You Are Booking From Out of State

Jody flies from Atlanta (ATL, about an hour and forty-five minutes from Opelika) or Columbus, Georgia (CSG, forty minutes). He books his own travel, arrives early, and has no production rider — a wireless microphone and a stage is the entire technical requirement. That keeps the total cost of bringing him in predictable no matter which state you are in, and it is why cooperatives and school districts a thousand miles from Alabama book him a second and third time.

Yes. Opelika, Alabama is his home base, not his service area. Jody books nationwide and travels to events in every region of the country, flying from Atlanta (ATL) or Columbus, Georgia (CSG).

Does booking a speaker from out of state cost more?

Travel is a line item, not a surprise. Jody flies commercial, books his own travel and does not require a production rider — a microphone and a stage are the requirement. Events within driving distance of Opelika across the Southeast keep travel costs lowest, and a date near an existing trip can lower them anywhere in the country. Send your date and he will quote the travel with the fee.
