Military, Veterans & First Responders

Military Comedian and Veteran Keynote Speaker Who Has Actually Worn the Uniform

Military balls, dining-ins, family readiness events, veterans galas, National Guard and Reserve training, first responder banquets and defense-industry conferences. Twenty-four years of Army service, three deployments to Iraq, and a comedy career that started entertaining troops in Samarra on New Year’s Eve 2003.

Why Units and Veterans Groups Book Jody

He Is Not a Comedian Who Supports the Troops. He Was One.

Jody Fuller enlisted out of high school, served four years as an Army medic, commissioned through OCS after September 11, led one of the Army’s largest platoons in Operation Iraqi Freedom, deployed twice more with the Alabama National Guard, and retired from the Army Reserve as a Major.

He performed his first show for the troops of the 1st Stryker Brigade in Iraq, has toured with Armed Forces Entertainment and the USO to 15 countries, and is a U.S. Army Master Resilience Trainer and ASIST certified — the same resilience and intervention curricula your unit trains on. GI Jobs Magazine named him one of 15 Veterans Taking the Comedy World by Storm. Every rank in the room knows within thirty seconds that he is one of them.

  • Clean material appropriate with spouses, families and general officers present
  • Resilience keynote built on the MRT framework, delivered without the PowerPoint
  • Understands protocol, the toast sequence and where the comedy fits in a dining-in
  • Booked by The Boeing Company for defense-sector events and by the Florida National Guard
  • Fits police, fire, EMS and 911 dispatcher (APCO) banquets equally well

What the Room Gets

Programs for Military and First Responder Audiences

From a 20-minute set after the toasts to a full resilience keynote for a training day, adjusted to your unit, your mission and your audience.

Ball / Dining-In

The Clean Comedy Show

Somebody in this room has been counseled for less.

Military balls, dining-ins and dining-outs, holiday parties and hail-and-farewells. Twenty to forty-five minutes of clean stand-up from a retired Major about medics, motor pools, deployments and stuttering through radio calls.

Resilience Training

Laughing Through Life

Resilience is a skill, and skills are trained.

Family readiness days, Yellow Ribbon events, Guard and Reserve training weekends and command resilience days. A Master Resilience Trainer’s keynote on perspective, gratitude and post-adversity growth — from someone who did three tours.

Veterans & First Responders

Leadership That Lasts

Leadership is the thing you do when nobody is watching the formation.

Veterans galas, VFW and American Legion conventions, AUSA chapters, police and fire banquets and APCO conferences. Leadership and connection principles for the people who run toward the problem.

What Protocol Officers and Event Committees Ask

Is the material appropriate for a formal ball with families and senior leaders?

Yes. Jody performs the same clean set for a battalion ball that he performs for church congregations and Dry Bar Comedy. No profanity, no politics, nothing that puts a commander in an awkward position. He is comfortable with protocol and will coordinate his slot with your master of ceremonies.

Can he speak on resilience for a training event rather than perform comedy?

Yes. Jody is a U.S. Army Master Resilience Trainer and ASIST certified. The Laughing Through Life keynote uses the MRT framework — perspective, gratitude, hunting the good stuff — delivered as story and humor rather than slides. It is regularly booked for family readiness and Guard training weekends.

Does he work with contracting, MWR and government purchasing?

Regularly. Jody has performed for Armed Forces Entertainment, the USO, installations and Guard units and can provide a W-9, a capability statement and any vendor paperwork your contracting office needs. Nonprofit veterans organizations and defense contractors book him directly.

Where does he travel from?

Opelika, Alabama — near Fort Benning. He flies from Atlanta or Columbus, GA, and has entertained troops in 15 countries, so OCONUS is not a problem.
